 What is the
VESI Council?
The VESI Council of Victoria is:

A bipartisan employer/employee 'not for profit' incorporated
association dedicated to working with the Victorian Electricity
Supply Industry to bring about improved vocational and technical
skills
-
The single most authoritative voice in Victoria on matters
relating to Electricity Supply industry skills development
-
The strongest advocate of industry training and skills development
for all sectors of the Electroricity Supply Industry
-
Supported by NECA and the ETU
-
A significant participant in national skills and Training
Package development.
The VESI Council has:

Strong networks across the printing industry and government
agencies, particularly the Office of Training and Tertiary
Education (OTTE)
-
Excellent working relationships with public and private Registered
Training Organisation's (RTOs), especially ETTA
-
Concentrated knowledge of VET needs and operations of Electricity
Supply Industry enterprises
-
Detailed knowledge of state and national VET stakeholders
and of the Gas, Generation and Transport, Distribution and
Rail Training Packages.

 Strategic Advice
As part of its funding arrangements with the Office of Training
and Tertiary Education (OTTE), each year EPIC ITB produces strategic
advice to the Victorian government on behalf of its individual
industry areas. The document covers a brief workforce analysis,
change drivers effecting the industry and future skills training
needs.
