EPIC Council Survey

This survey seeks to ascertain from EPIC ITB Skills Council members their response to the Executive Committee “Strategic Direction” recommendations .

 

Employment Trends

This survey seek information on the employment status of 3rd and 4th year electrical apprentices, between January 2012 and June 2014. Please click here to view the survey's results.

 

Electrical Trades Studies - Electives Survey

In March of 2013, the EPIC Industry Training Board conducted a survey of 213 3rd and 4th year electrical apprentices to gauge their thoughts on areas of study they would have an interest in, as a component of the electrical studies.  The outcomes of the survey are most interesting and provide data for RTOs that may be of interest. TAFE Survey

In March of 2013, the EPIC Industry Training Board contacted 14 Victorian TAFE institutes to gauge their thoughts on the impact of the Victorian State government’s May 2012 State Education budget cuts. 2011

 

Apprentice Training

This survey asked 250 3rd and 4th year electrical apprentices which post trade studies would most interest them, and add benefit to their career.  The survey also sought to ascertain when and how the apprentice would like to access additional trade related training. Electrical Contractors survey

This survey reached out to almost 400 REC’s, who were asked a series of questions relating to the ESV compulsory REC course of training, and if it met their requirements for becoming a REC.

ICT Skills Needs survey – Workers

This survey captured the thoughts of over 600 workers involved in the ICT sector, to identify the future skills needs of both the IT sector, as well as the Telecommunications sector.

2010

 

 

Apprentice Employment survey – 1

This is the first of two apprentice employment surveys which seeks to identify how over 3,000 currently employed apprentices acquired their apprenticeship, and to gauge their views on their current and future employment status.

Apprentice Employment survey - 2

Over 200 electrical apprentices were surveyed to ascertain the extent of any period of unemployment, whilst under a Contract of Training, as an apprentice.

This survey was responded to by almost 1,000 electrical workers, who identified their work experiences between January 2009 and December 2010.

RTO Pre-apprentice survey

RTOs were asked a series of questions relating to the pre-apprenticeship programs running within their institute.  The survey sought responses relating to post pre-apprentice job acquisition, and resource capabilities within their institute.

Job Survey (ETREC)

Over 100 Registered Electrical Contractors were surveyed to ascertain their views on the benefit or otherwise of employing apprentices within their business.

Employer survey (NECA)

Over 80 (NECA) employers were asked to respond to questions relating to the employment by their company of A-Class electricians, in the period January 2006, through to June 2010.  The employers were also asked their views on the expected requirements for employing A-Class electricians for the period up to December 2011.
